The Swedish producer and writer Ludvig Parment launched his music career over a decade ago as the recording artist Saturday, Monday. In 2012 he released Headshake with Julia Spada which soon took wings and granted him props from the likes of The Guardian, The New York Times, Pitchfork and Pigeons and Planes. Since then, he’s been rewarded a Dennis Pop Award, collaborated with artists such as Steve Angello, Björn Dixgård (Mando Diao) and Hayley Kiyoko and had his music played on radio by Zane Lowe and Diplo.
Ludvig Parment has gradually evolved into a versatile and highly accomplished producer; also operating as a co-writer for other artists and as a score composer for films and commercials (H&M, All Saints, Audi and more).
In 2022, Parment teamed up with British/Nigerian wordsmith and artist Joshua Idehen (Sons of Kemet, The Comet is Coming, Benin City), creating a unique blend of spoken word, gospel and dance music. The project has so far been received by great criticial acclaim including Pitchfork, The Quietus, Clash, MixMag – and wide support across shows on BBC Radio 6. Furthermore, they hit a career highlight in 2023 as they were chosen to perform on the Polar Music Prize Awards.
