Henrik Jonzon is a Chicago-born Swede that grew up in the USA making the English language a stand out strength as far as Swedish songwriters go. Musically he has one foot in the indie pop rock tradition and the other firmly locked into urban, rnb and mainstream pop. He dabbles in production but his main forte is songwriting & top lining. It’s all about the melody for Henrik. Melody as well as direct, simple, at times quirky, heart on your sleeve lyrics.
Back in 2013 Henrik, sort of by accident, started writing for and collaborating with other artists, producers & songwriters. Some of these names include Rebecca & Fiona, Naomi Pilgrim, Zara Larsson, Paloma Faith, Kilian & Jo, Erik Rapp, Mando Diao, Sabina Ddumba, Elias etc.
He is also the lead singer and songwriter of the Swedish indie pop band Nervous Nellie. They have released four albums, the most recent one “Where The Nightmare Gets In” came out in December 2014.
First cassette Henrik ever bought was Rod Stewarts “Every picture tells a story”, the artwork made him do it.
Luckily the music turned out being great. Also, Henrik has a Brussels Griffon named Knut.
